The 426 Series door is ideal for heavy-duty applications requiring protection against the elements. These doors feature a 2" (51mm) panel thickness, 16-gauge steel intermediate and end stiles, ribbed steel exterior and 26-gauge steel back cover in a white finish. Polystyrene insulation (R-value of 7.35 or 1.29 W / Msq) is standard, and isocyanurate insulation, with an R-value of 11.69 (2.06 W / Msq) is an option. The 426 Series is available in sizes up to 28´2" in width and 24´1" in height (8585mm and 7341mm) and is also offered in Industrial Brown.

1.01 Work Included
The doors will be 426 Series as manufactured by Overhead Door Corporation.
1.02 Related Work
Opening preparation, miscellaneous or structural metal work, access panels, finish or field painting, field electrical wiring, wire, conduit, fuses and disconnect switches are in the Scope of Work of other divisions or trades.
1.03 Quality Assurance
In accordance with accepted quality assurance guidelines for motor-operated doors, both the door and electric operator (optional) shall be manufactured by a single-source producer of door systems; as by Overhead Door Corporation.
2.01 Sections
Section profile will be ribbed. Sections will be 24-gauge, roll formed galvanized steel exterior. Sections will have a nominal thickness of 2" (51 mm). Doors will have rabbeted meeting rails to form weathertight joints and provide full-width interlocking structural rigidity. Back cover will be 26-gauge steel. (poly-backed, HIPS-backed optional)
2.02 Insulation
Insulation will be polystyrene with an R-value of 7.35 (1.29 W/Msq) (Optional isocyanurate insulation with an R-value of 11.69 or 2.06 W/Msq).
2.03 Center and End Stiles
Center and end stiles will be 16-gauge steel, formed and fastened as integral structures with the rolled sections. End stiles will be channel-shaped to 2" (51 mm) deep.
2.04 Springs
Standard springs will be 10,000 cycles. (Optional higher-cycle 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, or 100,000-cycle springs).
2.05 Hardware
Hinges and fixtures will be galvanized steel. Full-floating ball-bearing rollers will have hardened steel races. Roller sizes will be adequate for design requirements and limitations.
2.06 Track
Track is 2" (51 mm) standard (3" (76 mm) optional) angle-mounted. (Bracket-mounted track is an option, but not available on full vertical doors).
2.07 Lock
Lock will be interior-mounted slide lock. (Optional tumbler keyed lock is available.)
2.08 Weatherstrip
Bottom weatherstrip will be flexible PVC and held in place by a retainer that also provides additional reinforcement.
2.09 Finish
Finish will be factory baked-on white (Industrial brown optional) polyester coating.
2.10 Operation
Operation will be by manual pull rope. (Optional chain hoist and electric operator are available.)
3.01 Execution
Install the doors in accordance with Overhead Door Corporation instructions and standards, using an authorized Overhead Door Corporation distributor.
